CCS MED Certification Charge Standards

 

Charges for CCS MED certification are to follow the requirements of CCS Rule of Charges (hereinafter referred to as Rule of Charges) as follows:

 

 

1.        MODULE B CertificationTYPE EXAMINATION

1.1.  First certification and re-certification is to be charged as per the standards for type approval Module B as specified in Rules for Charges.

1.2.  Plan approval: charges to be collected as per the standards for plan approval charges as specified in Rules for Charges.

1.3.  Certification modifications: charges to be collected for modifications of certification certificate as per the Rules for Charges.

1.4.  For those having obtained certification of Module B after applying to CCS for type approval B certificate (of the same type), or having applied to CCS for type approval B and module B certification at the same time, charges may be reduced properly according to the workload and man resources used.

2.        MODULE D/ MODULE E CertificationPRODUCTION-QUALITY ASSURANCE/ PRODUCT-QUALITY ASSURANCE

2.1.  First certification and re-certification: to be collected as per the Rules for Charges and approved standards. For enterprises that have obtained CCS ISO9000 certificate, the application for first Module D and Module E certification, it is to be deemed as re-certification, and charges are to be collected as per Rules for Charges and renewal approval standards.

2.2.  Periodical audit: charges are to be collected as per the periodical audit standards as approve by Rules for Charges and suppliers (not necessary to conduct product survey after being approved), collected once for one circular.

2.3.  Special audit: charges to be collected as per charge standards for “person/hour” specified in Rules for Charges.

2.4.  Certification modification: charges to be collected as per the standards for approval certification modifications specified in Rules for Charges.

3.        MODULE F Certification (PRODUCT VERIFICATION): Charges to be collected for approved single unit and single batch survey standards as specified in Rules for Charges.

4.        MODULE G Certification (UNIT VERIFICATION): Charges to be collected for unapproved single unit and single batch survey standards as specified in Rules for Charges and plan approval charges to be collected as per relevant standards.

5.        Others

5.1.  Certificate charges: charges to be collected as per the standards specified in Rules for Charges for charges of approval certificates.

5.2.  Travel expenses, communication expenses, mail expenses, and insurance costs incurred for certification activities are to be borne by the applicant and collected along with the charges for certification.

5.3.  When the certification is completed, in case certification certificate will not be issued due to the applicant’s reason (such as disqualification of the product test), the applicant is also to pay for the certification charges.

5.4.  Overtime pay: at the request of the applicant, the Surveyor is to collect overtime pay in addition to the certification charges calculated as per the standards, when working in holidays or working  overtime temporarily for survey work. Overtime pay is to be calculated as per the standards specified in Rules for Charges for overtime pay.

5.5.  Lost labor pay: if at the request of the applicant, the agreed survey plan is to be changed or for other reasons, the Surveyor has made the round trip fruitless and has to wait, additional charges are to be collected. Such lost labor pay is to be calculated as per the standards specified in Rules for Charges for round trips fruitless.

5.6.  Survey certification activities not specified in the standards are to be charged as per the “person/hour” method and standards as specified in the Rules for Charges.
